Explore the National Parks!
Each week we will travel to a new National Park in the United States and explore all it has to offer. Topics will vary based on the park, but will typically include geography, geology, history, wildlife, weather, hiking and other unique features.
Please check the bottom of this description for planned locations.
Each week I will create a printable packet (that is not required) that students will be able to print before class. The packet will include information, worksheets, art sheets and more that the student can use to take notes, color, draw and use to learn as a part of their class. Students will also receive a printable Wander Free map and badge that they can use to keep track of all of the parks they have learned about.
Each class will include a bingo card that students can print before we start. As we explore, students will be encouraged to check things off of their card. At the end of class, the student who got the first bingo will be the first to get to share their favorite part of our National Park road trip with the class.
Students do not need to be well traveled in order to join in. Come as you are and let’s explore together.
Students will need access to video for a zoom connection. The link for the zoom will be provided in the class section for the week.
